  52.                 README FOR XQL and NETWARE SQL v2.11 PATCHES
  53.  
  54. This README file of XQL211.EXE accompanies the patches for XQL and NetWare
  55. SQL version 2.11.  The patches are for DOS, OS/2, NLM, VAP v2.11 and v2.11a
  56. environments.
  57.  
  58. This set of patches contains batch files to correct all the known problems
  59. in XQL/SQL version 2.11 (including server based version as well).  To
  60. install the patches follow these steps:
  61.  
  62. 1. Copy all the files to the directory on your system that contains the
  63. file(s) to be patched and make this the default directory.
  64.

  67.                          CAUTION
  68.   * NOTE: Make sure that you are patching the original (unpatched) released
  69. version of the software.  Patching a patched version may cause
  70. unpredictable errors.  Also make sure that the program version you are
  71. patching is 2.11.

  75. 2. Make sure that PI.EXE is available on the system. (PI.EXE is a patch
  76. utility provided by NOVELL to install product patches- it may be used in
  77. DOS or OS/2 environments).

  79. 3. Run the batch file(s) relevant to your situation:
  80.  
  81.       PATCH211.BAT    :corrects the DOS and OS/2 versions of XQL
  82.  
  83. * NOTE: A parameter list is given when you type the batch file name.
  84.  
  85. BUGS.211 is the listing of the problems that will be fixed by applying the
  86. above patch files as well as a couple of patches that are optional so
  87. please read the document. At the beginning of each problem description
  88. there is a listing in which version(s) a bug is relevant.
